Gin is traditionally called London Dry - but I live there and usually it isn’t. So I wanted to make a gin that would invoke that unique petrichor smell that comes from light rain hitting the pavement on a warm day. I’ve never met anybody who doesn’t like that smell.
Key botanicals:
Beetroot, Lovage, Ginger
The Taste:
The key ingredient in that petrichor smell is also present in beetroot. So we’ve combined beetroot with lovage, bay, orange, and ginger to create a gin with light notes alongside earthy tones that give a distinct rainy quality to the gin.
In Summary:
Capturing that elusive petrichor smell wasn’t easy - but eventually we discovered that beetroot contains the vital ingredient. It may not rain at all where you live, but this pours beautifully. We are famous for our humour.
